During our cycling trip through North America, we had to cross the border between Canada and the U.S.A. two times. The first border crossing we did when we went from Alaka (U.S.A.) to the Yukon (Canada). As you probably can detect on the panoramic picture, the boundary clear of brush and vegetation for 6 metres (20 ft) on each side of the border.
The border crossing is on the Alaska Highway. The portion of the Alaska Highway in Alaska is Alaska Route 2. In the Yukon, it is Highway 1 and in British Columbia, BC provincial highway 97. We cycled the Alaska Highway from Delta Junction (Alaska) till the junction with Cassiar Highway (Highway 37) in Yukon, Canada.
Later on 27 Augustus 2005 we crossed the border from Alberta (Canada) back into the Montana (U.S.A.) at the Chief Mountain border crossing (Hwy 6).
